Telepathy seems to have been coined by the late, great Scientist and psychical researcher, Frederick Meyers. (who wrote the famous “first” book on medium ship – “Human Personality and it’s Survival of Physical Death” back in the late 19th Century) Prior to his coming up with the term it was called “thought transference” and THAT name might more adequately describe the phenomena itself: The exchange of information between persons WITHOUT a verbal communication.

Of course it’s CONTROVERSIAL….because, lets’ face it: What part of parapsychology isn’t? The idea that people can communicate “mind to mind” UPSETS many hard core skeptical scientific folks, EVEN though it’s been PROVEN, over and over and even OVER again that information is passed between people (living and dead alike…but THAT’S the topic for another article altogether..:-) without overt verbal cues. Remote viewing experiments conducted by ALL big governments around the world, authentic psychic experiences, and even the commonly accepted notion that some TWINS “feel” each others thoughts and pains at great distances are common ways that ESP manifests in real world settings.
